Q. Do you buy homes that need repairs?
A. Yes, we buy homes that need all types of repairs including complete remodels.
Q. What if I have little or no equity?
A. The Wood Group has a full-time staff that will work with your mortgage lender throughout the process to negotiate the mortgage balance you owe to a lesser amount, creating a deal that works for both you and us.
Q. How does the process work?
A. Call one of our representatives or just fill out the Property Information Form telling us about the property you want to sell. The information about your property will be reviewed and analyzed by an Owner/Investor at The Wood Group. You will be promptly contacted to arrange a time to view your property.
Q. How do you determine the price you will offer for my house?
A. Considerations include the condition of the house and the extent and cost of renovations required, the time required to complete the renovations, and the repaired value of the house when compared to houses in the same area. Also considered are the costs in real estate sales commissions to market the house, as well as the costs of insurance, utilities, taxes, loan payments incurred to buy the house and maintenance costs while the house is being renovated and offered for sale.
Q. Do you buy condos or townhouses?
A. The Wood Group will buy houses, condos, townhouses, duplexes, multi-tenant buildings and different types of commercial properties.
Q. Do you buy mobile homes?
A. Not usually. If the home is attached to larger pieces of land that the homeowner owns, we will consider it on a case by case scenario.
Q. Do you charge a fee to make an offer for my house?
A. No fee is ever charged by The Wood Group to view and/or make an offer for your house.
Q. When I fill out and submit the Property Information Form containing information about the house I have to sell, am I obligated in any way?
A. You are under no obligation at all. All we ask for is the opportunity to make an offer for your house. You decide if the offer works for you.
